Midgie Magic (formerly Sandfly Salve) was designed many years ago to help newcomers to Broome cope with biting midges and other insects. This cream is to put on after you have been bitten, as subsequent swelling, itching and infection following bites is the main problem. The cream helps to soothe, reduce the itch, disinfect and help bites with natural anti-inflammatory ingredients. Works also on bee stings and even, so we are told, on Scottish midgies!

Apply frequently until bites have healed. Can be used in conjunction with Herbal Skin Calm, a cooling soothing gel for all itchy skin conditions

Please note that an unlucky few will have severe reactions to midge bites, requiring medical attention and anti-histamines.

Contains: Purified water, chamomile and calendula extracts and infused oils, evening primrose, jojoba, rosehip, wheatgerm and carrot oils, emulsifying wax NF, witch hazel, beeswax, hydroxypropyl starch phosphate, chickweed & plantain extracts, vegetable glycerine, Vitamin E, pure essential oils of lavender, tickbush (kunzea ambigua), niaouli, German chamomile, frankincense & rosalina (Melaleuca ericifolia), fragrance (natural plant derived preservative), potassium sorbate.

A Skeptic Can Change her mind.

I was so desperate. I woke the other morning with the worst ever infestation of midgie bites I've ever had. I struggled through the day applying products with minimal results, the next morning I woke with even more bites. I had erythema down one of my arms, clearly an allergic reaction. Antihistamines helped with that but not the itch. In desperation I got on Google and found Hidden Valley. Skeptic that I can be to some things, but desperation driving me, I pedaled out to Hidden Valkey and purchased some Midgie Magic. The lady gave me a sample of bug soap. I followed her instructions and by the end of the day my discomfort, which was immense had turned the corner. After 2 sleepless nights, I only woke once to my forearms on fire with itch. I applied the salve and settled back down. I counted over 100 bites on my arms, chest and flank, this does not include the ones on my neck, face and scalp, they itch like nothing on this earth, they would blister and weep. I have now been using this product for 2 days and am still recovering and as luck would have it, the midgies have found my hands somewhat attractive, but I have found if I put the salve on them fairly quickly things aren't so bad. I have since brought more bug soap as it's so soothing on my tortured skin.
I 💯 % recommend this product, to any skeptic out there, don't worry it's worth it.

Works wonder on mozzie bites

My daughter struggles significantly with mosquito bites, and we've been using another cream to help. While it does provide some relief, she often complains that the bites remain itchy and that it takes a while to fully take effect. However, this magic Midgie cream has been a game-changer for her! It works wonders on her mosquito bites, offering quick and soothing relief. The quality is outstanding, and I highly recommend it.

Best cream to relieve itches

Discovered Midgie Magic when in Broome. Was recommended to me by a local for sandfly bites. I have been using it for years now on any insect bite. Especially March flies which I react badly too.
The cream never fails to provide instant relief . Highly recommend

fantastic products

I found the midgie magic one of the best products on the market. I also bought Kimberley survival kit another great product to gift to family and friends. The soaps are expensive but they last a long time and great for my skin. Thanks Hidden Valley .

It absolutely works!

I bought the smallest jar to 'test' it out, and I'm now regretting that I didn't go for the largest jar as this product has been a life saver with the onset of mozzie and midgie season! I love the subtle smell and my skin's immediate response to the cream. It shuts down that feeling of 'must scratch'! Will definitely repeat purchase from your wonderful selves.
